BTBA TENPINTOUR ROLLING AVERAGE
Please note : -
We have made some minor adjustments to the way we determine averages and handicaps
1 Ladies Averages are now calculated as 75% of the difference between their average and the scratch score of 200. Previously the calculation was 80% of 220. Ladies who have an average over 200 will have no handicap, We do not use negative handicaps
2 Gentlemen's Averages are now calculated as 75% of the difference between their average and the scratch score of 220. Previously the calculation was 80% of 220. Gentlemen who have an average over 220 will have no handicap, We do not use negative handicaps
3. Handicaps are now capped at 50 pins for both Ladies and Gentlemen.
4. One Bonus Pin is awarded to any bowler who does not qualify for a final up to a maximum of six pins. Bonus pins are in addition to the handicap which means that a bowler with a capped handicap of 50 can also receive up to 6 bonus pins, meaning they may have a maximum total bonus of 56 pins.
6. We no longer calculate averages from the rolling averages page if a bowlers game count fall below 18 games.
7. For new or returning bowlers we ask for a verified league, tournament or composite entering average covering at least 21 games. This average will be used until 18 games have played, regardless of the score accumulated during that period. Once 18 games have been bowled the entering average will no longer be used.
8. Re - rating. Only non Tenpintour averages will be re-rated, This means that entering averages are subject to a re-rate if a bowlers average is 10 pins higher than their entering average, i.e. 60 pins in total over. Re - rating is always at the discretion of the Tenpintour team. This means a new bowler could find themselves re - rated in consecutive events.
8. For existing members whose game count has fallen below the 18 game qualifying number we will go back as far as TPT 1 of the previous season, to ensure we have a Tenpintour average. By using Tenpintour figures to bring a members game count up to 18 games, we will not re - rate these bowlers.
9 For the above reasons the highlighted figures on the rolling averages will not add up, because those are not the figures currently being use to calculate averages and handicaps.
